Amy Lowe, Customer Involvement Administration Assistant at Stockport Homes was the proud winner of the Mark Aspinall Memorial Award at the annual Damar Training awards ceremony held at Edgeley Park.
The award recognises those that, despite their surroundings, peer pressure, home life, school life, illness or other issues overcome these challenges to complete training and get into work.
Nicola Clayton, Training Team Manager at Damar said: “Amy is hard working, has benefited from apprenticeships to get work, has sustained and held down jobs and gained qualifications. It’s clear she has grown and matured during her time with Damar. She was a pleasure to assess.”
Amy started with Stockport Homes in the Customer Involvement Team as an apprentice in Corporate Services. She has recently been appointed as the Customer Involvement Team Administration Assistant until September 2013.
Amy said of winning the award and her recent appointment: “I didn’t expect to win it, it’s a very special award and I’m glad that I was nominated for it. I am so happy I can stay with Stockport Homes and the Customer Involvement Team with my new job role as it would have been sad leaving. I’m looking forward to my future within Stockport Homes and with the Customer Involvement Team.”
