Welfare reform video shortlisted for CIM award

Halton Housing Trust’s welfare reform info-graphic has been shortlisted for a prestigious CIM Marketing Excellence award.
Beating off a record number of entries from around the country, the video has made the “Not for Profit” shortlist and will compete with organisations such the NHS and the British Red Cross to claim the crown.
Produced by Halton Housing Trust and design agency Reason Digital, the info-graphic has prompted over 50 housing associations and local authorities around the country to get in touch, wanting to tailor the video for use in their own campaigns.
As well as inspiring others to embrace digital communication, the Trust has raised £6,000 for Halton Haven Hospice after collecting a £500 donation for twelve tailored videos with requests still coming in.
Anna Lambert, Communications Manager at the Trust, said: “We’re so excited to be a finalist and pleased that our video has been recognised as an excellent marketing tool.
“We produced the video as we wanted to inform as many of our customers as possible about the welfare benefit changes and how it could affect them. I’d encourage any customers to view the video on our Halton Housing Trust YouTube channel if they haven’t done so already.”
Now in its fourth year, the CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) Marketing Excellence Awards celebrate the best marketing achievements in the UK. Previous winners include the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Southern Railway.
The winners will be announced at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London in March 6th 2012.
