Kier North Tyneside has welcomed three new apprentices to its team. This unique training opportunity with Kier will provide youngsters with full-time positions where they will be developing skills in business administration.
With the latest recruitment of the new apprentices, Kier is fulfilling its commitment as a socially responsible employer to provide valuable opportunities for unemployed people to gain vital on-the-job experience.
Connor Thompson, Abbie Elliot and Scott Fletcher beat off strong competition from many candidates to secure their apprenticeships with Kier.
The new starters, two of whom come from the North Tyneside area, will work alongside dedicated mentors while carrying out NVQ qualifications with leading training providers TyneMet College, Avanta and Zodiac Training.
Kier regional director for maintenance, Mike Furze, said: “It is vital for companies to invest in the future generation. At Kier, we strive to make a positive contribution to the communities in which we work and are always proud to be able to offer placement opportunities such as these to local young people.”
The apprentices will carry out a comprehensive induction covering subjects such as health & safety and customer care before starting their full-time roles.
