Morrison has secured three new contracts in the East of England, boosting its presence in the region.

The first new relationship is with Hundred Houses Society, which has named Morrison as its preferred bidder for the provision of its void property repairs and refurbishment contract for over 1000 homes in Cambridge. The three year contract, with a potential two year extension will be worth £1.4million over its life span and will be operated from Morrison’s existing facilities in Cambridge.

Morrison has also secured a new void property repairs contract with its existing client Colchester Borough Homes, which is worth £1.5million over its duration and covers 5000 homes across Colchester. The contract, which commences at the end of the year, has an initial term of three years with the opportunity to extend it for a further two.

Colchester Borough Homes and Morrison have worked together since 2010 on the provision of gas servicing and repairs and this new contract further strengthens the partnership.  Morrison will recruit new staff for the contract, which will operate out of its existing facilities in Great Wenham.

Completing the hat trick of new business wins in the East, is a contract with Colne Housing Association for gas repairs and services to 1,700 properties across Essex. The three year contract with a potential two year extension is worth £1.25million over its duration. The contract with Colne overlays Morrison’s existing gas contracts with Colchester Borough Homes and Tendring Council, enabling it to provide greater resources and flexibility to Colne’s customers.

Guy Wakeley, Chief Executive of Morrison said: “Our strategy is to grow our business sustainably and securing new business with existing clients and in areas where we already have an infrastructure in place, is a key aspect of this approach.

“These new business wins reflect the strength and commitment of our Eastern region operation.  Despite being one of our smaller regions, it repeatedly delivers first rate KPIs to our clients and it is this consistent performance, which has played an important role in securing these new contracts.”
