Walk around
Friendship Care and Housing’s (Friendship) neighbourhood team participated in Sparkbrook’s ‘Walk Around’ yesterday (22nd October). The event was organised by the local police and was attended by local fire fighters, PCSO’s, an environmental health warden and representatives from the ‘Sparkbrook Neighbourhood Forum’ and the ‘Sparkbrook Community Against Crime Association’ (SCACA).
Through partnership working the ‘Walk Around’ aims to tackle environmental priorities in Sparkbrook. Local issues include dealing with litter, drugs, parking, youth provision and anti-social behaviour were discussed. The group also identified target areas where different projects would be best suited.
Claire Pinson, Friendship’s Neighbourhood Officer said “It was great to attend the walk around with so many different services, although it was raining and we got a bit wet – I call that commitment”.
