Sarah Ebanja appointed Chair of the Newlon Board

Sarah Ebanja has been appointed as the new Chair of the Newlon Housing Trust Board in succession to George Taylor, who has stepped down following eight successful years.

Sarah has extensive experience of working to improve the lives of the communities that Newlon supports in north and east London, having worked at a top level in local government for Lewisham, Hackney and Islington Councils and as Deputy Chief Executive of the London Development Agency.

 While at Islington she was a driving force in the success of the Arsenal Regeneration Programme, where Newlon is providing 1,500 affordable homes in one of Europe’s largest regeneration projects.

She also currently works closely with the wider community in Haringey as Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Bernie Grant Performing Arts Centre.
