A record number of gardeners, who have helped to make Fylde bloom this summer despite the extraordinary weather conditions, were recognised at an awards presentation last week.
The winners of New Fylde Housing’s annual gardening competition were announced at the awards presentation, which took place at Warwick House in Lytham.
The popular competition is organised each year to recognise New Fylde Housing tenants who make a difference to their neighbourhoods with their gardens.
The categories for the gardening competition included: Best front and rear gardens, best sheltered scheme garden and best containers and hanging baskets.
Gemma Hamilton, Trainee Estate Manager for New Fylde Housing, said: “Once again we have had some outstanding entries and a record number of entrants in this competitions history. Our tenants have shown enormous pride for their gardens again this year making it very hard for us to select the winners.”
All winners received gardening vouchers.
