Residents at Vine Court in Trafford were celebrating on Friday at the launch of their new and improved accommodation.

Over the summer, Trafford Housing Trust has spent £180K on a comprehensive refurbishment programme to both inside and out.

External work has included an extension to the front of Vine Court and a new conservatory to the rear.  Improvements inside include upgrades to decoration and flooring in all communal areas, replacement doors throughout the building, and a new activity room for residents and guests to enjoy.

Vine Court has 29 one-bedroom homes with support provided by resident support staff and a community alarm service.  The improvement work was carried out by contractors John Southworth Ltd under the instruction of the Trust’s regeneration team.

Kath O’Connor, Scheme Manager for Vine Court at Trafford Housing Trust, said:  “The Vine Court improvements have been a great success and the new building and community areas look fantastic. The team has done a great job and I must also thank the residents for their patience while the work was going on. We are committed to investing in all our properties and hope our customers here will enjoy the new facilities.”
