Budding entrepreneurs, job seekers and bosses with an eye on expansion should bring their ambition and talent to South Oxhey Job & Business Fair.
Thrive Homes is among the leading local firms supporting the free event on Saturday, 27th October between 1-4pm. Experts from the high performing housing provider will be on hand with top tips to help people find work, from writing a great CV and cover letter to where to look for jobs.
The team is also keen to hear from potential suppliers who would like to work with Thrive Homes delivering excellent services to its customers – more than 4,000 households - across the district.
Philip Day, Thrive Homes Resources Director, said: “We are ambitious for this community and will do all we can to support residents so they achieve their goals and fulfil their potential. There will be many opportunities on the day for those keen to take the next step and we are glad to be involved and further develop our links within the community.”
Visitors can also pick up a new booklet produced by Thrive Homes in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) full of advice for job seekers. Visit www.thrivehomes.org.uk to find out more.
The fair, organised by Three Rivers District Councillor Ty Harris, will take place at The Centre, Gosforth Lane, South Oxhey, WD19 7AX. There will be a number of firms offering recruitment opportunities as well as career information and advice available.
Businesses who would like to book a stand at the fair, or for more information, contact Councillor Harris on 07891 513368 or email thtyharris@gmail.com
On Friday, 2nd November, between 10am-3pm, Thrive Homes will again be at The Centre, South Oxhey - this time supporting the Family Learning Festival with an inflatable human table football attraction!
The rents and housing options team will be available throughout the drop-in event to talk through housing related questions with residents.
