Housing provider has new building toi-let
An Evesham-based housing provider is currently flushed with success over its latest construction.
Rooftop Housing Group must have spent a penny or two when it developed some new public toilets in Broadway.
The new conveniences replace old ones demolished as part of Rooftop's development of 12 properties at the other end of the village.
David Hannon, Development Director at Rooftop, was clearly relieved by the new toilets. He said: “I would never have believed that one of the most momentous occasions in my housing career would be the opening of a two cubicle/five-person toilet block, in what must be one of the prettiest villages in the UK.
"I’d like to thank Wychavon District Council and Broadway Parish Council for their continued commitment to providing affordable homes for local people and I also give thanks to the architect Geoffrey Bowman and contractors Mansell Construction for helping us to build something which is not just an asset to the community but is also a sustainable and attractive building that complements the local area.”
