Welwyn Hatfield Community Housing Trust has held two fantastic events allowing tenants to have their say!

Fun and interactive sessions were held in Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield on 29 September and 6 October. The sessions focussed on the topics that matter most to tenants, such as the repairs service, how rent money is spent and how tenants might be affected by the government’s welfare reforms.

Chair of the Trust’s Management Board, Paul Wren said: “The ‘Your Home, Your Say’ events were a huge success! Days like this reflect the Trust’s commitment to putting tenants at the heart of what we do.

As well as being really enjoyable, tenants were also able to learn more about our services, including what we are doing to help them prepare for the effects of the biggest welfare reforms for many years.

We received some really useful feedback and ideas from tenants and will use that to help shape services into the future.”

As well as officers from the Trust, representatives from the Trust’s key partners were on hand to speak to tenants throughout the days. Representatives from the Welwyn Hatfield Housing Maintenance Team, Carillion, Homeswapper and the Welwyn Hatfield Tenants Panel were available to offer advice and information.
