SDS and Savills have agreed to link the Savills Automated Valuation Model (AVM) with the SDS ProVal viability appraisal application.

In August 2011 Savills entered into a partnership with Rightmove to make their highly efficient desktop tool for referencing rents and capital values available to the affordable housing sector.  This latest agreement with SDS will enable users of ProVal LS to access directly the AVM and to hold the data within an appraisal.  This data is a critical input for establishing the viability of new developments and/or assessing stock options.  Holding the data within the appraisal will be a great help in reviewing and auditing these key inputs.

SDS ProVal is currently used by around 200 organisations for assessing development viability.  At the beginning of the year ProVal LS, a comprehensive update of the popular ProVal XL application, was launched, which existing and new users have been gradually adopting.  The new innovation with Savills is not available in ProVal XL, but will be a standard ‘no-cost’ feature of ProVal LS.  Subscription arrangements with Savills are unaffected.

Work on the link is due to start next month and is planned to be completed by the end of 2012.
