It's back: 24housing launches 2013 Young Leaders award
24housing magazine has launched its Young Leaders Award for 2013 and is calling on housing organisations of all shapes and sizes to submit candidates for the top prize.
Now in its third year, the award - sponsored by Network Recruitment Partnership - is calling on housing providers to nominate candidates that have the potential to reach senior management level.
Following careful selection, the top 12 candidates will then battle it out in an online vote with the 'Top five' set tasks for a chance to be crowned 2013's winner.
The top five candidates will be assessed by an independent panel of judges with the winner crowned in a special Top 30 under 30 supplement published next year.
This year's winner Sara Parkin, housing advice manager at Futures Homescape, has met the housing minister, shadowed National Housing Federation chief David Orr for a day and received an iPad courtesy of the award.
She’s also had dinner at the House of Commons and is currently guest-editing the November issue of 24housing magazine!
She said: “The best things about winning were the nomination from my team and the support and recognition from my colleagues. Winning has given me the chance to see national housing leaders at work and a fantastic opportunity to develop myself as a person and a leader and give something back to my team!”
This year’s winner will also receive a short course in management or leadership worth up to the value of £1,500.
Apply now – it’s easy!
The criteria to nominate is simple. Anyone from your organisation can nominate candidates provided those put forward are under 30.
All we are asking for at this stage is a 200-word outline of the three most important values candidates demonstrate as leaders.
