Hanson Structherm picked up two awards at yesterday’s Insulated Render and Cladding Association (INCA) Conference & Exhibition.
It won the Domestic Refurbishment – High Rise category for Manton and Reynolds Towers in Birmingham, and the Domestic Refurbishments – Low Rise (5 houses or less) category for Eco House, also in Birmingham.
The INCA awards recognise innovation and excellence in the external wall insulation (EWI) industry and Hanson Structherm was also shortlisted in the Domestic New Build and Domestic Refurbishment – Low Rise (6 houses or more) categories.
Commenting on the Eco House project the judges said: “The use of EWI had transformed this run down property into a very attractive home. Brick effect render can be difficult to achieve but when applied correctly like on Eco House the result is stunning. The improvement in the U-value is remarkable and it is projects like this that can lead the way in reducing carbon emissions in the UK.”
Hanson Structherm’s marketing manager, Yvonne Coldwell, said: “The fact that we have won in two categories and were nominated in a further two demonstrates that our EWI systems provide outstanding solutions for a wide range of insulation projects. We are delighted to be recognised by INCA in this way.”
