CGA Colleagues present Cheque to Heartbeat Fundrasing Officer Bev taylor
Colleagues from Community Gateway Association showed they had a generous heart as they handed over a cheque for £1475.23 to Preston based charity Heartbeat. (http://www.heartbeat-nwcc.org.uk/)
Heartbeat is the North West leading cardiac rehabilitation charity, providing services for over 600 people every week.
CGA colleagues choose a charity every year at the organisations annual staff day. In the last 6 years over £10,000 has been raised by CGA for local charities.
From arranging fun events throughought the year, which included holding a fun fair in CGA’s Board room to giving money through payroll giving, the amount raised will help people across the North West who need support through their treatment.
Nigel Mawdsley a member of CGA’s charity team commented “Once again colleagues have dug deep to support our chosen charity. We are proud to be able to present this cheque to Heartbeat; I would like to thank all my colleagues at CGA for their generosity and support throughout the year”
Beverley Taylor, Fundraising Officer from Heartbeat who received the cheque at CGA’s Headquarters said “We are so grateful to everyone at Community Gateway for supporting Heartbeat and for raising this fantastic amount of money for us. As all of our income comes from voluntary donations, contributions such as this are so important to us On a personal note, I would also like to say a huge thank you to all of the CGA staff for making me so welcome and ”for truly putting the “fun” into fundraising!”
