290 properties transferred
A housing provider has transferred 290 of its properties in a bid to "deliver better services to residents".
A2Dominion - which manages over 34,000 properties - split the 290 transferred homes, all of which are located on the south coast, over three housing associations.
The transfers were made after a "consultation with residents", during which their "service priorities were identified".
Southern Housing Group received the bulk of the properties, taking charge of 173 homes in Brighton & Hove. Raglan Housing has been transferred 39 homes in Arun and Adur, Sussex, whilst First Wessex received 78 in Portsmouth and Havant.
Nicholas Yeeles, A2Dominion’s executive director (Commercial, London), said: “As part of a group-wide plan, we are concentrating on areas where we manage high levels of housing stock to ensure we deliver good quality and cost-effective management services for our customers.
“The transfer of these properties, which were located away from our main offices and areas of operation, will ensure more locally-delivered services for these residents.”
