Housing worker to sing alongside Gary Barlow in X-Factor

A customer services manager at a Liverpool-based housing association is to be mentored by pop star Gary Barlow in the next stage of ITV's the X-Factor.

Liverpool Mutual Homes’ (LMH) X-Factor star Chris Maloney successfully passed the Boot Camp audition last night and will now be mentored by Take That star Gary Barlow.

Chris, 34, has received the full backing of LMH, which is drumming up support for the singer.

LMH’s director of housing and neighbourhood services, Angela Forshaw, said: “Chris has done fantastically well to get so far in a very tough competition and everyone at LMH would like to say ‘well done’ – we are all incredibly proud of him.

“We are hoping Liverpool and the rest of social housing will get behind him and help him on his way so he can maximise his talent that is clear for everyone to see.”
