CSH compliant
A range of Green Building Store products have been specified at a new build housing project for Hull City Council, designed by NPS Humber . The project, involved the construction of 19 new homes on Lingdale Road and Ravenser Close in Hull to Code for Sustainable Homes level 4. Green Building Store’s Ecocontract outward opening triple glazed windows and doors were specified for the houses, along with ES4 water saving siphon flush WCs and Ecocomfort 140 litre baths.
Architectural Assistant Tom Orrett from NPS Humber commented:
“Our chief objective in specifying the products from Green Building Store was driven by the need to comply with Code for Sustainable Homes requirements. The Ecocontract windows & doors helped us achieve this through high performance triple glazing, use of FSC timber, and Secured by Design accreditation. We were pleased to find a cost effective option for triple glazing. The ES4 water efficient WC and Ecocomfort low volume bath were also helping us gain points in the Water section of CSH.”
Tom Orrett has been pleased with the quality of the Green Building Store products and happy with Green Building Store after sales service.
“Green Building Store’s Tom Anderson came on site to show users and council staff how the window hardware works and we have also been pleased with how GBS has dealt with replacement work following some vandalism issues which occurred while the houses were left unoccupied”.
