New look ONE Event helps local people get back to work

RHP’s ONE Event will be returning to York House, Twickenham, on Wednesday 10 October from 9am-5pm.

The ONE Event is a free employment event designed to help local people find job opportunities. Employers such as Tesco and Barclays will join RHP to promote live vacancies and give support and advice on how to apply.

The event follows on from a successful debut last November, when over 400 local people received information, advice and guidance at Clarendon Hall. Free skills sessions will also be on offer, including the CV writing and interview skills workshops that so many benefitted from last year.

RHP customer Donna Lyall, who successfully found a job as a result of last year’s event, recommends that anyone looking for a job, work experience or training should attend.

Donna says: “When I turned up to the ONE Event I was amazed how much useful information was available and how many opportunities there were. I was nervous about being older, having some debts and a lack of qualifications. I was given advice on re-writing my CV and the training on offer to me, and I spoke to Lucy who works in RHP’s HR team.

Lucy helped me fill out an application form for an RHP vacancy, which led to an interview and I now have a job I love in an RHP retirement scheme. The ONE Event is a great opportunity to find out what is out there for you - it may change your life like it has mine!”
