A new website that connects letting agents and landlords to those claiming Housing Benefit has been launched.

Believed to be first of its kind, Dssmove is a free UK-wide service where Housing Benefit claimants can search, review and apply for accommodation.

Dssmove founder Aki Ellahi (pictured) has claimed that no other site offers the same service. Aki, who has worked with tenants in affordable housing for over 30 years, said: “We recognised the many difficulties faced by people on housing benefit when it came to finding a new home with many private landlords just saying no to DSS.

“But through Dssmove there is now an extensive network of landlords that are most certainly saying yes, and it’s an easy way for tenants to get in touch and find a suitable property.”

All of the letting agents listed on the site welcome anyone claiming Housing Benefit, and offers property listings from one-bed flats to four-bed family homes.

Aki added: “We can give tenants peace of mind and choice when it comes to searching for their new home.  Our listed letting agents are checked by the Dssmove team and adhere strictly to our selection criteria.  And that means peace of mind for landlords looking to rent out their properties.”
