North Wales Housing has held its annual fun day, with a record number of tenants joining in on a fun packed day out at Hendre Hall inBangor.

This year’s event marked the third Tenant Fun Day for the association, proving to be bigger and better than ever and attracting more than 400 people from acrossNorth Wales.

The action kicked off at 10.30am, when more adventurous guests were invited to jump on board the pirate ship and get active on the slides, trampolines and zorbing tube.  Samba drumming workshops, arts and crafts, face painting and a dj talent competition were open for youngsters, whilst nature lovers took part in the gardening workshop or nature trail.

Adults and children of all ages joined in the fun. The North Wales Housing team were on hand to catch up with tenants, provide information and answer any questions, as well as offer advice on any concerns. Representatives from across the NWH group, including Supported Housing Service held information stalls alongside partnering organisations including The Open University, Groundworks and CAIS alcohol and drug agency.

Cher Lewney of North Wales Housing said: “This proved to be a brilliant day out for everyone involved. It gave people from different communities acrossNorth Wales, as well as our team, the opportunity to mix and meet and form new acquaintances and friendships.

“We had a fantastic turnout last year with just under 200 people attending on the day and this year we saw a massive increase on that. Hendre Hall was a lovely, relaxed venue; perfect for a family day out and everyone we saw certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves and making the most of the lovely weather!”
