Riversmead Housing Association proud to sponsor community ‘unsung hero’ award

Riversmead are taking part in this year's Mercury and Observer Community Awards 2012 by sponsoring the 'unsung hero' catergory.
Now in its fourth year, the Community Awards celebrate the achievements of ordinary people doing extraordinary things in their communities to make life better for others.
Residents can take part by nominating a person who derserves recognition in the categories of:

School Worker of the Year

Good Friend

Carer of the Year

Volunteer of the Year

Lifetime Achievement
Paul Huckstep, Riversmead's Executive Director, said: "Riversmead is not just about provding homes - we're about working with local people to create thriving, sustainable communities where people want to live. The Unsung Hero category captures the very spirit of thriving communities; celebrating and acknowledging the difference an individual has made to their local neighburhood."
The awards will culminate in a presentation event at the Marriott Hotel in Thundridge, Hertfordshire on Monday 26th November.
