RHP launch Silkmore Lodge
A new development of affordable homes in Richmond has proved a big hit with customers. Launched on Wednesday by RHP, Thames Valley Housing, Richmond Council and developer Mizen, the new properties are the first of 148 affordable new homes to be managed by RHP as part of the Thames Valley Housing Consortium.
The seven unit development in St Margaret’s, Twickenham, is a mixture of family homes and 1-2 bedroom flats.
David Done, RHP’s Chief Executive, says: “It’s a pleasure to launch this new development, which received essential funding from Richmond Council and the GLA. All the homes have now been let and we have seen some very happy new customers. We’ll continue to work hard to address the severe shortage of housing for local people by providing more great homes at affordable rents.”
As well as providing comfortable, affordable homes, Silkmore Lodge also has highly efficient heating and hot water systems to help customers reduce costs.
