An afternoon of celebrations was held by Trafford Housing Trust to mark 50 years of Lostock Court, last Friday.

As with any good celebration, cake was on hand for the residents, friends, families and people from the local community who came along to enjoy the day at the scheme!

The longest residing tenant, Ada Goodman, who has lived at Lostock Court for 25 years, was there to celebrate the day as she shared a slice of cake with Trafford Housing Trust Chief-executive, Matthew Gardiner.

Matthew said: “The birthday party for Lostock Court was a huge success, the fact that around 60 people turned up to celebrate the day and help put on the activities shows the kind of strong community bond in the area.”

Activities and events took place to mark the occasion and the Trust encouraged residents and members of the local community to join in and celebrate together by providing a bouncy castle, face-painting and nail-painting from a resident’s granddaughter.

Lostock Court is sheltered housing accommodation, managed by the Trust, which provides care for residents to help them live independently for as long as possible.
