Sovini wins £10m contract
Villages Housing Association, based in Liverpool and Oldham, has awarded a £10m maintenance contract to Merseyside-based Sovini.
Sovini stood out over several major national contractors to win the five-year contract with Villages, who currently provide around 2,800 affordable homes and a range of services to residents across the North West.
As part of the contract, Sovini will be carrying out day-to-day repairs, preparing Villages’ void properties for letting and providing the out of hours call out service.
Sovini currently provides services for One Vision Housing and Pine Court Housing in Merseyside and have been acknowledged as Maintenance Team of the Year for the last two years.
Villages Deputy Chief Executive Jed Pearson said: “We went through a very comprehensive tender process, involving tenants at all stages and are delighted to have appointed Sovini to provide our future day to day repairs service. We were very impressed with their attitude to customer service as well as delivering quality repairs on a first visit so we are confident that our tenants will receive an excellent service. In addition Sovini will be supporting Villages' commitment to creating local employment and training opportunities by creating 10 apprenticeships for local people.”
Andrew Spencer, Company Director of Sovini, said: “We are thrilled to have been appointed by Villages Housing Association to carry out their maintenance contract and we’re confident we will deliver an excellent service for them and their customers. We believe that this signals the growth and future direction of the business and hope it’s the start of many more exciting opportunities.”
