Accent Peerless' new homes open in Surrey
Surrey Heath Mayor Councillor Bruce Mansell joined staff and new residents of Accent Peerless for the opening of their new homes at Ansell Road and Evergreen Road in Surrey.
One of the seven new residents said: “On the day my new baby was due, I moved into a beautiful, newly built home. It was like a dream come true and I was waiting for somebody to pinch me and tell me to leave the show house! Now, my children not only have their own room, but a neighbourhood with other children their age that they can play with. I am still pinching myself to prove this is all real and I feel extremely lucky, grateful and privileged to have such a beautiful home that my children and I can be proud of.”
Accent Peerless Managing Director Paddy Mooney said: “It’s fantastic that we’ve been able to make a real difference to seven families by converting two redundant sites into new homes and new opportunities. The overwhelmingly positive response from the residents has also been a great tonic for our staff and reminded many of us of the reasons why we came to work in housing. Working closely with our partners at Surrey Heath Borough Council, we’d love the opportunity to help more families take this important step in establishing a solid base for leading successful lives.”
