Jubilee makeover for City West’s Customer Conference

Customers enjoying the annual City West Housing Trust Customer Conference
A DIAMOND Jubilee theme set the tone of City West Housing Trust’s annual customer conference on Wednesday 1 August atBuileHillParkwhich was opened by the new Chair of the Board, Andy Zuntz.
Organised by customers, for customers, the event saw around 150 people of all ages enjoy a full programme with fun for all the family on offer including a children’s tea party, tea dance and children’s disco and raffle.
Staff were also on hand to explain City West’s work in areas including neighbourhood improvement plans, customer engagement, social enterprise, tackling anti-social behaviour, the organisation’s green strategy, the work of the Customer Scrutiny Inspectorate and the Local Area Panels.
Tenants worked with City West staff to organise the event and run the day.
David Lamb, who lives in Eccles, was one of the customers involved in organising the conference and was involved in the planning from the start. He said: “It was a fantastic event. It was great to work with other customers and City West staff to make it all happen.”
Peter Greenall, from Eccles who attended the conference said: “It’s fantastic, there’s something for everyone and City West couldn’t have done anymore or held the event at a better place.”
