Hundreds of people enjoyed a great day at Cattle Country Adventure Park at the weekend as part of a family fun day organised by their landlord.

Around 500 residents enjoyed an action packed day in brilliant sunshine and all they had to do in return was give their views on how Merlin Housing Society’s services could be improved.

As well as free entry into the park and all its activities, residents could also enjoy face painting, circus skills, a falconry display, wacky science, bouncy castles, a rodeo sheep and a really popular coconut shy. There was also plenty of freebies for residents to take home, plus the chance to win prizes including holiday vouchers, a television and Nintendo Wiis.

Resident Kerry Cann added: “It was such a wonderful day out. We all really enjoyed ourselves, especially the kids. The atmosphere was great, and to top it off the weather was nice. There was so much going on in the Merlin section, I think we only went into Cattle Country for an hour. Thanks again for a lovely day out.”

Merlin’s Community Investment Manager, Jennifer Griffiths said: “The fun day was a great success and it was wonderful to see so many residents having such a fantastic time. It’s given us the chance to get feedback on how we’re doing from young families. This is a group that we sometimes struggle to engage with, so it was really great to hear so many positive responses from them.”
