Housing organisations from across Merseyside will once again join forces to show their commitment to diversity in Liverpool Pride.
The third Liverpool Pride will take place on August 4 and representatives from Homes for Everyone - a group of 15 housing associations - will be flying the rainbow flag along with thousands of revellers
This year the group is also one of the main sponsors.
Chair of Homes for Everyone, Jon Farrell, said: "We're delighted to sponsor this year's Liverpool Pride March. Pride brings into focus just how many people in the city celebrate diversity and I am proud to work in a sector that is committed to nurturing that.
"Liverpool Pride is a fantastic festival which is so worthwhile in both raising awareness of homophobia and transphobia in Merseyside and also celebrating the region's diverse culture and community."
The theme for this year's Pride is 'Nautical but Nice' and Homes for Everyone will be leading the march with customers and housing staff along the parade route through Liverpool city centre and to the main festival site at the Pier Head.
The group has prepared a nautical-themed, zero-carbon float made especially by One Vision Housing's Property Service Team with materials supplied by Roger Haydocks Ltd.
By being involved in Liverpool Pride, Homes for Everyone hopes to promote housing associations as organisations committed to diversity - giving customers and staff the confidence that they will be treated fairly and with respect no matter who they are.
It also aims to promote its LGBT-led focus groups for customers and staff and encourage more to get involved to make sure their voice is heard.
Jon Farrell added: "We don't just offer homes for rent or sale but work to make our neighbourhoods great places to live and work. Through Homes for Everyone, housing providers from all across the region will march together to further strengthen that commitment. It's going to be a wonderful event and I can't wait to see everyone there."
Homes for Everyone is made up of: Riverside, Pierhead Housing, One Vision Housing, Wirral Partnership Homes, Your Housing Group, Steve Biko Housing, Knowsley Housing Trust, Plus Dane Group, The Regenda Group, Venture Housing Association, Liverpool Mutual Homes, South Liverpool Homes, Symphony Housing Group, Helena Homes, Villages Housing and Liverpool City Council.
