Riverside has appointed its new Group Director for Care and Support - Léann Hearne, who is currently Operations Director for ExtraCare Charitable Trust.
Léann will replace Derek Caren, who led Riverside’s sheltered and supported division, Riverside ECHG for five years.
Léann has a wealth of experience in the caring and business sectors and is proud to have led ExtraCare to become a strong and high performing provider of older people’s services.
Chief Executive of Riverside, Carol Matthews, said: "We chose Léann from an exceptionally strong group of applicants. We admire her commitment to excellent service and her track record of generating extra funding for new and existing developments, particularly in light of the current climate of sector cut backs.”
Léann is looking forward to the challenge of leading Riverside ECHG, which employs over 1,000 staff and provides housing and support for some of the most vulnerable people in society. And she’s excited about shaping and influencing the whole business through her wider role as Group Director.
Léann said: “I’m looking forward to the challenge of developing the vital work of Riverside ECHG. Never has there been a greater need to ensure that our most vulnerable citizens have shelter and support.”
