West North West Homes Leeds praised for tenant participation

A leading national tenant participation organisation (TPAS) has given West North West homes Leeds almost full marks in their latest assessment, putting them in the upper quartile across the UK.
The organisation achieved 18 passes out 19 units assessed and have been awarded the TPAS Kite mark for a further three years.
WNWHL were praised for their tenant involvement and commitment to working as equals with their tenants, also the community development work has moved considerably.
TPAS concluded that the recommendations that were made in their original accreditation have been followed and WNWHL have continued to improve and work with both tenants, residents and staff across the organisation to ensure that they are at the heart of all of the work that the housing services does.
Cathy Clelland, chair of West North West Homes Leeds said:
“It is excellent to be awarded the TPAS Kite mark again, and it really shows that the work we have been doing around tenant involvement has paid off.
“Community development and making sure tenants have a voice is something we have been working hard to strengthen. We have put in place a new framework over the last few years to ensure customers can get involved in a number of different ways.
“We will now be working on the recommendations, such as involving tenants in the setting and monitoring of value for money efficiency targets, we couldn’t have achieved this award without all of the hard work and commitment of you involved tenants.”
