Energy Minister discusses efficiency with LHT

Energy and Climate Change Minister Greg Barker has been learning about Liverpool Housing Trust's (LHT) efforts to improve energy efficiency.

LHT has been awarded a £115,000 grant to conduct an energy efficiency audit across its 10,000 properties.

The funding from the Local Energy Assessment Fund (LEAF) will be spent on discovering the energy improvements that will provide the greatest benefit to tenants, such as insulation, double glazing, new boilers and exploring renewable technologies.

The assessment will also identify the best options for energy inefficiency hotspots such as houses in conservation areas.
