Riversmead stall with Mayor of Ware
Talking to residents and the wider community is key to what Riversmead Housing Association do, giving residents the opportunity to feedback suggestions to help shape the services provided.
Riversmead’s Neighbourhood Team pitched a stall at the 2012 Ware festival on carnival day, Saturday 7th July, where the crowds had gathered to watch the Olympic torch relay.
Residents, the wider community, an Olympic torch bearer and Mayor of Ware, Councillor Phyllis Ballam visited the stall and spoke to the Neighbourhood Team about a variety of housing matters including applying for housing, tidying up green areas and installing Riversmead Lifeline alarms in homes.
Riversmead also had a stall and sponsored the carnival parade at this year’s Hertford Carnival in June, which returned to the town after a break of nearly 12 years.
Heather Stanton, Riversmead’s Senior Neighbourhood Officer said: “Community events like these are a great way to bring local people together to find out what’s happening in their community. Attending these events allow residents to seek advice and assistance from staff in an informal setting.”
