Bacon Butties on Sunday mornings resulted in £500 for East Anglian Air ambulance.
Residents of Cross Keys Homes Wildlake sheltered scheme held 12 Bacon Butty mornings on the first Sunday of every month from August last year until July this year.
This helped raise £500 which was presented as a cheque yesterday (10 July 2012) by Ron Forder resident of Wildlake to Christopher Donaldson, Area Fundraising Manager, East Anglian Air Ambulance .
Melanie Cook, Activities Co-ordinator for Cross Keys Homes, said: “The residents are rightly proud of their achievement to raise £500 for such a worthwhile cause. No-one believed that they would raise this amount but the Sunday bacon butties have been a roaring success and prove that pigs yet may fly!”
