22 year old Natalie Gooch, a university student from Penkridge, near Stafford has spent the last 10 months on a Human Resources and Training apprenticeship with social landlord Friendship Care and Housing (Friendship). After taking a year out from studying, BA (Hons) Business Management and HR at Manchester Metropolitan University, Natalie has gained valuable experience in the area of business she hopes to work in.
“Working at Friendship, with such wonderful people, has been a great experience. I have had the opportunity to learn so much from them all. I have truly enjoyed my time here and as it draws to an end, I realise how much I will miss being here!”
Natalie’s time has been split between HR and the training team, working on various projects to give her the experience she needs, in this tough climate. Natalie has also been working with other aspects of the business, which has helped her to get much more involved and understand the way the company ticks.
Natalie said “Friendship is a very friendly place to work. This was the first time I had ever worked in an office, I was immediately put at ease and I feel as though I settled in really quickly. When I finish my apprenticeship I will be returning for my final year at university. After which I will be looking for a position leading on from my degree. I also plan to travel the World and see as much of it as I possibly can!!”
