Accent recruit 15 for sector based Wotk Academy

Published by Heather Jacklin for Accent Group in Housing
Accent Group's specialist regeneration and training service, Accent Regeneration and Community Partnerships together with Job Centre Plus, have recruited 15 people in Bradford (seven of whom are social housing residents) for the sector based work academy.
The successful candidates were chosen from over 50 who attended an information training day. They took part in two weeks of pre-employment training and have now been placed with their host work experience employers. Accent Foundation, the group's biggest registered provider, has taken three candidates to work at its main Bradford office.
All the employers are delighted with the calibre of the candidates and it is hoped that many of them will be offered permanent jobs in customer service, either with their host employer, or through Accent's supply chains.
Those not successful in securing a job after the placement has ended will be kept in a 'talent pool' to help fill future posts as they become available.
There are seven partners in total; Job Centre Plus, Accent, Incommunities, Yorkshire Housing, Horton Housing, Headrow Housing (Your Group) and Keyhouse.
