Dale & Valley offers excellent service

Housing company Dale & Valley Homes has had its excellent customer services officially recognised.
The Wear Valley-based company, which manages council homes in the area, has achieved the Customer Service Excellence accreditation in recognition of the value it places on doing a good job.
Clare Ord, customer insight manager, said: “We have been focused on improving services since the company was formed and know our customers have really noticed the difference.
“To achieve this accreditation you have to show, not only that you provide good services, but that you understand your customers, know what they want and constantly review things to make sure you carry on improving.
“Going for an accreditation like this is an easy way of showing people that we are achieving all those things to a high level and it gives us pointers about where we can do better.”
In his assessment the inspector said: “There is an excellent corporate culture centred on customers. This stems from board members and the
chief executive, who is very positive about developing a customer focused culture.
“There has been a significant improvement in service delivery in the years since the ALMO was created and a significant rise in satisfaction across all areas of service delivery.”
Customer Lesley Mellis added: “I would like to congratulate them on giving customers the best service, which they deserve.”
