City West Works gains international ISO accreditation

CITY West Housing Trust’s Skills and Service Centre has received a string of accreditations from the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).
The award winning Skills and Service Centre is based at City West Works, the repairs, maintenance and training centre of the West Salford-based housing association.
The ISO accreditations demonstrate the robust managementsystemsCityWest Works has in place for quality, the environment and health and safety.
The ISO awarded City West Works a triple accreditation in the following:
- ISO 9001: Quality Management Systems
- ISO 14001: Environmental Management Systems
- BS OHSAS: Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems
Work began on the accreditations in November 2011 with a view to completing all three by the end of March 2012. The team were delighted to have achieved the accreditations in this timescale.
Barry Brussels, Assistant Director of City West Works, said: “This thorough process has tested our services and has demonstrated that we are in a good position to meet future challenges.
“The ISO accreditations show our customers that we are meeting the highest standards in managing our services and minimising risks across the business.”
