New Board Chair and member for Accent Group

Accent Group has appointed two new members to its Board of Management; Gwyneth Sarkar and Maggie Punyer.

Ms Sarkar will become the new chair in July when the current Chair retires. She has worked for a number of local authorities in senior positions throughout her career. She has chaired the Accent Foundation Board, which manages the 12,000 homes that make up the Yorkshire and northern based operations, since 2008. She joined the Accent Group Board in 2010.

Ms Punyer is due to retire from her current post as Public Sector Development Director for Ocean Media Group. She is probably best known in the housing profession for her role as organiser of the Chartered Institute of Housing annual conference, which attracts over 8,000 housing professionals each year. Maggie has worked for a number of public service industries throughout her career. She will be formally elected to Accent's Group Board in July.
