A new affordable housing development on the Herefordshire, Shropshire border will be officially opened by Cllr Olwyn Barnett, chairman of Herefordshire Council on Friday 16 March.
Commissioned by Festival Housing Group and developed by Shrewsbury based affordable housing specialist Saxonby, the Roman Road development in Leintwardine consists of 20 two and three-bedroom houses, 14 for general-needs rent and six for sale on a shared-ownership basis. It is currently the biggest single rural development in the UK.
Local people from the area are also invited to attend the event, in particular those with an interest in viewing and potentially purchasing a property. The site will be open from 11.30am until 3pm, with the official handover ceremony taking place at 1pm.
