SLH Group has been named one of the country's leading employers in a prestigious award by The Sunday Times.
The South Liverpool housing association has joined some of the best organisations in the country when they made it into the elite ‘Sunday Times Best Not-For-Profit Organisations to Work For’ list 2012 at an awards ceremony on the 22nd February.
SLH employs approximately 100 staff and the results are compiled from an independent staff survey. The survey, which is confidential and voluntary, is designed to measure employee engagement and uses 70 questions to gain a comprehensive view of employee engagement. SLH Group were ranked 89th in the list.
Employees who were surveyed praised SLH’s excellent employment package, including a well-being programme where staff receive treatments every 6 weeks from SLH employed therapists. A staff suggestion scheme has also proved popular where staff can win £50 for every idea that is implemented.
Julie Fadden, Chief Executive of the SLH Group said “We are all really proud that SLH is up there with some of the best organisations in the country, proving that it is possible to keep your staff happy and motivated through very difficult times. The fact that the survey is independent and filled in voluntarily by staff makes the accolade all the more poignant.”
“This recognition is good news for our tenants too as it shows a collective commitment in achieving our mission of making South Liverpool the place to be.”
