Riverside’s new Chief Executive, Carol Matthews takes up her position at the social landlord’s head office in Liverpool this week.
The former leader of Guinness Northern Counties replaces Deborah Shackleton, who retired from Riverside last December.
Carol has spent five years leading Guinness Northern Counties where she improved customer satisfaction by 10%. Her career includes roles as a housing officer, area manager and director of housing.
Carol said: “I am really excited about joining Riverside. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone. This job is a fantastic opportunity to lead an organisation determined to grow, proud of its heritage, with an appetite for campaigning on behalf of its customers. It’s the right job, at the right time, with the right organisation.”
As Chief Executive of Riverside, Carol is responsible for around 2,600 staff and 50,000 homes spread across England and Scotland.
Carol added: “I’m keen to get out and about to meet tenants and staff across the country. I’ll be starting in the Midlands, moving on to the South East, Yorkshire and Ayrshire.”
