Salford-based community regeneration specialist Bramall Construction is counting the days down to Christmas by spreading some festive cheer.
Bramall Construction, which forms part of the Keepmoat group, has teamed up with its clients and subcontractors to give something back to the local communities in the areas they have been working across the North West and Wales.
In Sefton, Merseyside, where the company is revamping three tower blocks on behalf of One Vision Housing, a £500 donation was made towards Christmas hampers for local residents.
Christmas hampers have also been donated to elderly residents from Golden Gates Housing and tenants in Salford for City West, as well as being donated as raffle prizes for Community Centres in West Gorton,Warrington and Knowsley.
In addition, Bramall donated £200 towards a Community Centre’s Christmas party on the Wirral where Bramall is delivering external wall insulation projects for Wirral Partnership Homes.
Another fundraising idea involved donating £300 towards a community lunch in Warrington through Bramall’s work with Golden Gates Housing Trust. As well as sponsoring their Christmas lunch, Bramall staff entertained the residents at a Bewsey Park Community Centre by hosting a game of “Play Your Cards Right”.
Site staff played Santa and delivered gifts to Playdayz Nursery in Irlam,Salford, and staff also handed out selection boxes to a youth club and over 50’s club in West Gorton.
In Flintshire, Bramall donated hampers to a pensioners’ party and various community groups.
Other festive initiatives supported by Bramall this year include donating a Christmas tree, Christmas gifts and putting on a treasure hunt for the school children at Morecambe Bay Community School.
Christmas cards were delivered to 150 properties in Hyndburn, Lancashire and 175 residents in Hale, Altrincham, received Christmas cards which included entry into a free prize draw to win a luxury hamper.
Paul Hughes, Area Director for Bramall Construction, said: “Bramall is delighted to be supporting so many good causes this year on behalf of our clients across the North West region and Wales.
“We have strived to support the areas in which we work by reaching out to community groups and making hamper donations to the elderly and people who might not have a lot this Christmas.
“Wherever we work, we invest a lot of time and money in supporting community projects but we feel this is especially important during this time of year, due to the economic climate.”
Bramall Construction will also be donating some winter warmers such as jumpers, slippers and scarves as gifts to elderly people living on estates in Bolton and Oldham where they are building new build properties on behalf of Contour Homes (part of the Symphony Group).
