The Regenda Group has today announced it is investing nearly £37m in delivering new homes across the North West over the next three years.

The funding will deliver a total of 325 homes which will provide a mixture of affordable rented accommodation and affordable homes for sale.

Group Chief Executive, Bernard Gallagher, said: “I am delighted to be able to announce the first details of our development programme today.  This will deliver a mixture of much-needed urban and rural homes across the region, which will be available for social rent or to buy through our shared ownership schemes.

“A programme like this sums up exactly what Regenda is about - providing homes people can afford in places where they want to live.”

Developments have been confirmed in the following areas:
•Merseyside – 67 properties
•Greater Manchester – 41
•Cheshire - 26
•Mid Lancashire - 52
•Fylde - 79

Work has already started on site at Atherton House in Earlestown, Newton-le-Willows, and Bourne Road, Thornton Cleveleys, and four more sites will be underway before the end of March 2012. The sites of the remaining 60 properties will be confirmed in the near future.

The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) has invested £5.4m from its Affordable Homes Programme in the project, as part of a bid by The Riverside Partnership.
