Work has been completed on 17 brand new affordable homes in villages in Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire after Lincolnshire based housing association Acis Group handed over the keys to their latest new homes developments.
Acis, who own and manage over 5,300 homes across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire, handed keys to the new residents of developments in the Nottinghamshire village of Gringley-on-the-Hill and the South Yorkshire village of Kilnhurst in late November.
The Gringley scheme on Baker Avenue has created 11 affordable homes and was constructed by developer Miller Homes. The project features a mix of two and three bedroom houses, with six available for rent and five available for rent to own, where customers can rent now and buy later. Further properties are also due in late 2012. The Kilnhurst scheme, constructed by Ben Bailey Homes, has seen 6 two-bedroom flats built for rent on Wharf Road.
Tim Steele, Marketing and Communications Manager for Acis, said,
“These new homes mean that we can help meet the growing demand for affordable homes in these areas. Working in partnership with Miller and Ben Bailey has meant that we have been able to provide a high quality product for our customers, with a variety of property types and tenures. We pride ourselves in putting people first and providing better places for people to live, and we are delighted to provide an opportunity for residents of these areas to have a brand new Acis home.”
