Accent Foundation has now unveiled the first of its bungalows to be completed as part of a £15 million investment into its residents' homes in Horden, Easington Colliery and Blackhall.
Over the next three years, Accent's investment will pay for improvements in 550 homes, including new bathrooms, kitchens, windows and doors and, in some estates, home extensions.
Accent welcomed local Councillor and respected community figure Billy Hill and other guests at an unveiling celebration on Friday 25 November.
