The Aspire Group celebrated Social Enterprise Day this month by rolling out its successful social enterprise arm into the Staffordshire Moorlands.

Aspire Housing provides around 20,000 customers with homes and services, owning and managing around 9,000 properties.

In March this year The Aspire Group launched a social enterprise arm, called Enterprising Futures, to complement its established housing association and provide essential training opportunities and support for its communities across North Staffordshire.

And Enterprising Futures has now announced that its flagship training provider, PM Training, will expand into two new sites in January, adding Stafford and Leek centres to its existing bases in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Will Nixon, chief executive of Enterprising Futures, said: “We help around 1,100 young people a year and this expansion of our service offers the chance of a job for many more young people.

“We’ll be offering more apprenticeships in construction trades such as plastering, brickwork, and painting and decorating - these will be the housebuilders of the future.”

PM Training is the fastest growing social enterprise in theWest Midlands.
