Bramall Construction, one of the country’s leading social housing and regeneration specialists, has appointed Niyi Anubi as its new Head of Business Development for the East Midlands.

Niyi will be responsible for maintaining client relationships in the region, securing new business and working with Registered Social Landlords (RSL) partners to develop new funding delivery models.

He is looking forward to bringing 25 years’ experience in the construction industry to Bramall to increase its offering in the region.

Niyi joins Bramall Construction from Abbeyfield, where he worked as National Development Manager. During his time with Abbeyfield, the not-for-profit organisation, which provides care for older people, experienced huge growth.

Niyi started his career as a site engineer with Walter Lawrence before joining John Laing Construction as an engineer, during which time he worked on the construction of 300 timber framed houses in Bicester for the US Air Force.

He moved to a small housing association inLondonas a development officer and after progressing his career through a number of housing associations, became head of development at SOHA in 2001. He joined Willmott Dixon as business development manager in 2004, where he worked for four years, before joining Abbeyfield.

Niyi cites career achievements as the introduction of a key worker initiative which resulted in the commission of 5,000 units via three consortia organisations and sourcing two major extra care reprovision schemes with Housing 21, leading to the construction of 12 extra care schemes.

Delighted to join Bramall Construction, Niyi, said: “I am looking forward to developing Bramall’s offering in the region. I will be seeking to reinforce our position as market leaders in the delivery of housing by concentrating on sustaining growth in the East Midlands and delivering new models of funding with our partner Registered Social Landlords. I am looking forward to taking on board the exciting challenges ahead.”

Bramall Construction Managing Director, Neil Baxter, added: “We have bold plans for the region and needed a top operator to see them turned into reality. We have that in Niyi, who is a knowledgeable professional with excellent experience in the industry.”
