Specialist healthcare and retirement living developer Larkpoint (www.larkpoint.co.uk), a joint venture between Nottingham based Charterpoint Developments and Bourne based Larkfleet Group (www.larkfleetgroup.co.uk), has been granted detailed planning permission by South Kesteven District Council for a nursing home and associated landscaping in the Deepings,Lincolnshire.

The 66-bed nursing home is to be located next to thebowling greenonSpalding Roadin Deeping St James.

The development will help meet the need for elderly care facilities in the area with a special emphasis on the provision of care for frail elderly residents and those with dementia.

The Larkpoint development will include a variety of facilities for residents to enjoy and will also provide a range of jobs for people in the local area.

Giles Nursey, a director of Larkpoint, commented: “Larkpoint is delighted that detailed planning permission has been granted for this new nursing home as the demand for modern, purpose built elderly care in the area is simply not being met. This development will go some way to meet this requirement, providing excellent facilities and first-class care and accommodation.”

Larkpoint recently received outline planning permission for a new continuing care retirement community (CCRC) and a 60-bed care home in Oakham,Rutland.

With both developments, Larkpoint will help meet demand as the national need for retirement accommodation and elderly care facilities shifts from coastal areas to where children and grandchildren are based.
