Celebrating the opening of the play park
Residents at Riversmead Housing Association’s new development at Crouch Gardens in Buntingford enjoyed an afternoon barbeque with their neighbours on Friday 23rd September 2011.
Organised by Riversmead and contractor Barratt North London, the event gave residents the opportunity to meet their Neighbourhood team who were available to answer questions relating to their new homes and tenancies. The local Police Community Support Officers also attended to introduce themselves.
The afternoon saw the official opening of a play park on the local green, donated and built by Barratt North London, for the families living on the estate. Jackie Trundell, Riversmead’s Neighbourhood Services Manager and resident Fraser Findlay who was celebrating his fourth birthday cut a ribbon, declaring the park open, much to the delight of the younger residents.
Crouch Gardens’ residents Lisa Morton and Andy Bradley said: “We did a mutual exchange through HomeSwapper and are delighted with our new home. The property is of a really high standard, the area is quiet and our neighbours are very friendly – it’s the best thing we’ve done.”
Lesley Hinkins, Neighbourhood Officer said: “It was great to see so many residents chatting with Riversmead staff and their neighbours at the barbeque. I hope this event helped residents feel more settled in their new homes and neighbourhood.”
Jackie Trundell commented: “We have provided 59 two, three and four bedroom affordable homes for local people in Buntingford.
“There are still some shared ownership properties available, giving you the opportunity to part-buy your home. For more information call Stagnell Fox on 0845 130 1422 or visit www.stagnellfox.co.uk.”
